Regan party

This past Saturday was Regan's birthday party. The day started out pretty rough. BRidgette woke everyone up at 6 a.m. Then I took the kids with me to the store and as Regan was walking up to the sidewalk he walked into the car door and had a huge bump on his head. He then complained of a headache all day. Nurse Wanda (my mom) looked at it and said that it would be a little sore, but that he would be okay! He was better after everyone started showing up with presents.

Bridgette was okay for the party. She was pretty miserable but I think the fact of when she went down for a nap there were only a few people here and when she woke up the house was packed with people she doesn't see very often, so she was very clingy to my brother. ( the only one that wasn't occupied with something)

Other than that not to much is going on. Regan has a pumpkin party on Thursday at school and then on Friday, I am bringing cookies to his class for his birthday. I can't believe he is going to be 4 already! so sad!

New camera

This year for x-mas I have decided that I want a new camera. My mom asked me what kind I wanted and I have no idea. Anyone have any idea on what kind I should get or what to look for when I am looking?

Both kids are still pretty sick, Regan is getting better, Bridgette still sounds yucky. I hope they are better by Saturday for Regan's party. Regan can't wait for all of his cousins to come and play at his house for once.

It's just the beginning

The kids and I have been to the dr's 3 times in a week. It started out with Bridgette and a cough, then Bridgette with wheezing, and then finally we went again yesterday for both of them. The final diagnosis, Bridgette has bronchitus and Regan's asthma is acting up. Both kids need to have nebulizer treatments now and we need to have the cool mist humidifier on from now until spring. This is only the beginning of cold and flu season.

This time of year is also my favorite time, it is cool enough to go out for walks and you don't sweat like crazy, I also am in the mood to start x-mas shopping although I should probly wait for Regan's party to see what he gets.

I am upset that I won't be going to shopping weekend this year. I really look forward to it every year and now I have nothing to look forward to. I guess I will have to try and make my own shopping weekend without kids.

Field trip

Regan and I went on his class field trip yesterday. It wasn't that bad. All of the BAD kids (as Regan calls them) were either with a teacher or their mother. It was a very short trip which was also very nice. We were split into 2 groups. One group went on the wagon ride and picked apples and the other looked around the store and asked questions. After that we went to the county park and had lunch and let the kids run around on the playground. Overall, it was a good experience and I guess I would be a parent helper again.

Bridgette has got a nasty cough. She doesn't have any other symtoms, except yesterday she was coughing stuff up so I took her to the dr's. The dr suggest I put her back on the Nutramigen formula for a couple days to see if it is the formula, but she also gave me stuff for Regan's nebulizer to give her treatments. so we will see. Bridgette also was weighed and now weighs 18.7lbs. She gained 3lbs in 4 wks. she made us worry for nothing. What a little stinker!

Busy Busy

Well I also just realized that we have something going on every weekend until at least Thanksgiving and probly even after that to. Starting tonight, I have to go get fitted for a dress for one of the wedding's that I am in this summer. Then on Saturday I have a b-day party, next Saturday another b-day party and then my brother's playoff football game. The 18th I believe Janice and Mike come out, the 25th is Regan's party and then his b-day. What a crazy month!!!!!

On another note, on Monday I will be a parent helper for Regan's field trip to the apple farm. I don't know what I was thinking signing up to be a helper. I will make sure to have lots and lots of Ibuprofen. lol

Bridgette is doing well, growing like a weed. She keeps growing out of her clothes. Everytime I buy her a new outfit in the next size up, she wears it once and then I have to put it in the to small pile. Very frustrating. Very happy that she is finally where she should be for her age, but also frustrating. Oh well, I guess I should be happy where she is.

Stubborn Children

So I decided to brave the elements and take the kids apple picking by myself on Saturday before my brothers football game. My 2 sister-in-laws decided at the last minute to come also. Verna took Regan and Kasey and I took Bridgette. I don't know who had the worse time, because both of my kids are very stubborn. Verna tried to get regan to just pick apples, but they didn't look good to him, so we were there for about 2 hrs because he wasn't happy with the apples that Verna was showing him. Kasey was holding Bridgette and picked an apple to put in the bag and Bridgette grabbed it and had a death grip on it. We tried to take it away and she screamed. She even had to hold it on the tractor ride. I hope she enjoys apples that much when she gets older.

Yesterday Sean and I took the kids with my dad to Nunda, NY to the place where my grandfather was born. We took a walk in the woods. It was nice except for the fact that Bridgette gets really heavy in the front carrier. Sean decided to take Bridgette because he thought that I could keep up faster that way. But then of course regan decided that he was to tired to walk, so Sean had both kids. I wish I would've had my camera for a picture.

So this weekend is also going to be very busy. We are going to B-Spa and Whitehall for a b-day party for Sean's grandma. I am hoping that Sean will take a half day on friday so that we can leave as soon as we pick Regan up from school. Sean doesn't like to take time off so we will see how this weekend works out!

Another ear infection

Well last night was a very rough night. Bridgette was up from about 6p.m. til about 5 a.m. this morning. I only got about an hour of sleep. She has had a cold and would sleep for about 10 mins and then scream like someone was hurting her. I told Sean at about 11 that she had another ear infection and he didn;t believe me. Sure enough when I took her to the dr's this morning she has another infection in the right ear. regan always got infections in his left ear and now she gets them in her right. This is her 4th infection in 3 months. Instead of putting tubes in her ears they put her on a small antibiotic for the winter. It is a very very low dose and hopefully she won't get another infection. If she does, then she will definatly need tubes. Let's hope for the best!!

On the other hand, Regan is enjoying school and will be going on his first field trip on October 6th. His teacher is taking both the afternoon and morning class. I hope she takes a lot of Tylenol before she goes. lol I guess thats it for now. Wish me luck tonight with getting some sleep!!!!
